Sunny Saturday Roll Call

GM PA:

Great day off yesterday.  Helped Gene get some things done around the house while waiting for the kids to come over. 

Our trip to center city was awesome.  Wanamakers as always is fabulous, the lights, organ music, Christmas Story display..    Brings back so many childhood memories for me with my mom and my grandmom.  After my parents moved to Jersey mom and I traveled to Center City every Christmas season to see all the displays and decorations.  Then would have our annual lunch in the Crystal Tea Room in Wanamakers....some years my grandmom joined us, once we moved to Jersey my aunts and cousins didn't join us anymore.

I was also telling the girls about the old Horn and Hardarts (I know I'm really dating myself).  I remember the first time my grandmom took me in there and let me get my dessert out of the little automated door once I put the change in to make the door open....

We also stopped at The Christmas Village, I like to get the girls an ornamet or two for their tree each year, so it has become a tradition to stop there and pick up some ornaments for them rather than getting them ornaments from traditional stores as I did for them as they were growing up.

Today I have to finish my PP presentation for tomorrow.  I've finished one paper that is due tomorrow for the group project we'd worked on.  I have to finish my personal 8 page papers that is to accompany the PP.  We have until the 19th to turn in the second paper so I might just do the PP this weekend, start the paper and get it to her during the week since we have this extension.

 Morning Ida and Pa... had a great time seeing my fave band last night!

This morning we are going to synagogue.  After services, we are going to stop at Fashion Bug because I have a great coupon and Siehara could use a few things.  

I got my hair done last night and picked up the shoes for the formal.  I also went to Bath & Body and got 7 body wash type things.  They were buy 3 get 3 free, plus I had a coupon for a free item up to $13.  Score! Spent like $50 for 7 body washes and 3 lip glosses.. 

I have to work at Dress Barn tonight and then I am supposed to be headed to a Christmas party after.  

Tomorrow I am going to do some OT for Aetna, make a nice dinner and lounge around.

Yesterday was a long but enjoyable day. After work I went to get my nails done, which took ALOT longer than I thought. I wound up picking Dee up right at 6pm, I thought she was going to be mad at me but she understood. I got my nails done in Hanukkah colors, although the girl cut them a bit too short, but they will grow, right?? Then my friend/coworker who works with fire police invited Dee and I to come see the fire police parade in Collingswood. Wow, we had such a good time. It is so pretty this time of year and the weather was perfect. I know, I know, what the hell are two jewish girls doing at a Christmas parade? I had never been to one and even though it was Christmas themed, we still enjoyed it! Dee was SO good that I took her to a cupcake bakery and let her pick out a cupcake to take home.OMG! Did they look good!! Out of all my baking adventures I can't seem to get cupcakes down!?!? Then after the parade was over we went out for dinner with my friend. The food was good and time spent with my friend away from work was a good thing! We came back to my friends house to see her kitties who are so sweet! Then we came home, it was good that we did when we did because I was a bit bleary-eyed on the way home. But it was all good!!Came home and went to bed!

Got to sleep in this morning ,but my caffeine addiction woke me up! Sipping on coffee right now. I will be getting dressed soon and beginning my day. Lots of cleaning, straightening, laundry, etc to do!!
I know, soooo exciting!
